About Us
Elev8 Dance Academy is a place of creativity, high energy and professionalism. We inspire your children to build their confidence through dance. We offer dancers aged 4-18 years, of all levels, a place to explore and create, and to build self-discipline. Come and connect with others who share a love of dance. We produce an annual dance show every Spring to allow our dancers the chance to experience the thrill of performing. We take part in various festivals, platforms and events throughout the year where we share of love of movement with the Community. We also hold IDTA Dance Examination sessions year to allow our students to continue with their technical progression.
Annual Show
We hold an annual show every Spring and ALL students at the Academy are invited to perform. We have hosted at a number of different venues in Lincoln but our regular venue is Terry O'Toole Theatre, Hykeham. We always aim to create an evening of wonderful dance for family and friends.
We have just completed our 2025 show, and are currently planning our 2026 showcase!
Other Performances
We are often invited to perform at various events throughout the year. In the past this has included the Lincoln Dances Festival, Frequency Festival, Emerge Festival, The Positive Futures Showcase & Various School/Community Fayres.
This provides a great opportunity to share our love of dance, and is a fab experience for our dancers to perform in a variety of locations!
Ballet Exams
In Ballet classes our students have the opportunity to work towards entering Ballet IDTA examinations. This is a way to learn a wonderful Ballet syllabus which encompasses dance technique, performance quality, and creativity altogether. The exams are not scary, they promote a positive learning environment, and help to clearly track the dancers progress through the 'grades'. This is balanced with creative work and show work. We have a 100% pass rate for Ballet examinations.
Fees & Payments
Every child who is new to the Academy is entitled to a free trial class
with no obligation to join the Academy. On completion of the trial class, fees are payable on a termly basis (usually 6-8 weeks in length), and must be paid promptly. Accepted payment methods are currently: Online Transfer (details on request), & credit/debit card payments on site at the Academy.
